Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 July 2026 · Version 1.0 · Effective for ivuniverse.com
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, pixels, and software development kits — perform comparable functions. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” in this policy. Cookies may be set by us (“first-party”) or by a third-party service we use (“third-party”), and may last only for your session (“session cookies”) or persist across visits (“persistent cookies”).
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary. Required for the platform to function — for example, to keep you signed in, maintain your session, remember your consent choices, and protect against fraud and abuse. These cannot be switched off through our consent tool because the platform will not work without them.
- Functional. Remember your preferences and settings (such as language and interface choices) to give you a more consistent experience. Disabling these may reduce convenience but will not break core features.
- Analytics. Help us understand, in aggregate, how the platform is used so we can improve it. These are set only after you grant consent (see Section 4).
3. Third-party analytics tools we use
We use the following named analytics providers:
- Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage measurement. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not send it your name, email, or account identifiers.
- Microsoft Clarity — aggregate interaction and session-replay analytics, with automatic masking of text inputs and sensitive fields so that the content you type is not captured.
Both providers receive only coarse, non-identifying signals. We do not use these tools to build advertising profiles.
4. Your consent
When you first visit iVUniverse, a consent banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Consistent with the DPDP Act’s consent standard, all non-essential cookies — including analytics — are denied by default and are only set after you give clear, affirmative consent. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent because they are essential to provide the service you have requested.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie controls on the site or your browser settings (see Section 6). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. How long cookie data is kept
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies and the data derived from them are retained for no longer than one (1) year, after which they expire or are refreshed only if you continue to consent. Analytics data is held in aggregate for as long as needed to understand product trends and is not used to identify you.
6. No third-party advertising cookies
We do not use third-party advertising cookies and we do not sell or share your personal data for cross-site advertising.
7. Managing your cookies
You can manage non-essential cookies through our on-site consent controls at any time. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or alert you when a cookie is set. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of iVUniverse from working.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. For any question about this policy or your cookie choices, contact us at [email protected].
